Hanuman Jayanti Festival

Hanuman Jayanti Festival

Hanuman Jayanti Festival– Saturday, April 12

11 AM, Hanuman Chalisa recitation 11 times (Free Event – All Are Welcome!)

Hanuman Jayanti is the celebration of Hanuman’s birth, the embodiment of selfless service, strength, and devotion to Sri Ram. Together, we will chant the Hanuman Chalisa 11 times, invoking his grace and protection. The morning of devotion will conclude with prasad lunch.

1  to 2 PM, Prasad Lunch

2 to 4 PM, Kirtan with Sharanam Anandma

We are incredibly blessed to welcome Sharanam Anandama, a lifelong seeker, musician, and spiritual adventurer whose journey spans over five decades of devotion, music, and service. From the heart of San Francisco’s Flower Power movement to the sacred gatherings of Neem Karoli Baba’s devotees, Sharanam has been deeply immersed in the world of bhakti, kirtan, and dharma.

A Journey Through Bhakti and Music

In 1973, at a major concert in San Francisco’s legendary Winterland, Sharanam had a life-changing encounter with Neem Karoli Baba’s presence through Ram Dass and the early kirtan pioneers—Krishna Das, Bhagavan Das, and Jai Uttal. This experience set him on an irreversible path toward yoga, kirtan chanting, and Eastern spirituality, transforming his life into one of devotion and musical expression

Bhakti Dham is a space for all to share in this divine offering. While attendance is open for Kirtan, donations to Sharanam are welcomed (suggested $15-$20, voluntary, all are welcome)

Sundarkand Paath + prasad lunch

Sundarkand

The Sundarkand is a powerful chapter from the Ramayana, describing Hanumanji’s courageous journey to find Sita Mata. It is a story of devotion, faith, and selfless service that inspires us to overcome challenges with love and grace.
(More about Sundarkand Paath: Video, Article)

Neem Karoli Baba, always encouraged devotees to chant the Sundarkand, saying it brings blessings, strength, and peace. Through this sacred recitation, we connect with Hanumanji’s divine energy and open our hearts to the grace of the guru.

Afterwards, we will provide a lunch as prasad. That being said—if you feel inspired/called to bring food or prasad offerings to Maharaj-ji —you are warmly welcome to do so however not mandatory. Such offerings are deeply personal and always between you and Maharaj-ji. If you plan to bring food or prasad, we kindly ask that you let us know by replying to this email so we can coordinate and plan appropriately.

Flow

Sundarkand Paath (chanting) 11-12:30

Let’s come together to chant the Sundarkand and share in the love and blessings it brings. Following the paath, we’ll enjoy a prasad lunch to celebrate the joy of satsang
